Peace, Love, and Hope

Many of you know that my wife Kimberly and I have been eager, expectant parents of triplets for 18 weeks now.

Sadly, that journey came to a premature ending tonight. We delivered a baby boy, and twin baby girls -- unfortunately four months too early. Their time with us in this world was but a few minutes, and simply too short to fill the incredible dreams we had for our lives together. Of course, we're quite emotional over the loss.

The three things that we need most right now are also the names of our baby boy, and our baby girls: Peace, Love, and Hope Kirkland.

Having labored for over four days, Kim is now resting comfortably and thankfully is in good health. She is undoubtedly a spectacular woman, my hero, and will be a remarkable mother some day.

My apologies for sending such a tragic message in this manner, but we're hoping to avoid having this conversation any more frequently than necessary right now. Your thoughts and prayers for Peace, Love, and Hope will always be most welcome.

Yours,
Dustin

  2. Although I have never met either of you, I wanted you to know that I am praying for you. I am a friend of Jamie Ivey's. She has asked me to pray for you and I am today and will continue. I am in Oklahoma right now, but will be back in Tennessee in a few days. I have a book I would like to send to Lindsy when I get home. I lost a baby a few years ago and know that there is nothing that we can go through that is worse than losing a child. I am praying that God will give you both comfort during this time. The book I have is written my a woman who has also been through the loss of her children. It gave me some peace, hope, and love during my grieving. I am so sorry for your loss. You are both in my prayers.

  4. Kim & Dustin - Myself and my closest girlfriends are praying for you guys. I'm so broken by your loss and hate that you guys are having to endure such pain. Having lost two babies myself years ago I can understand on a small level the pain that you are going through. I just wanted you to know that the Ivey family is praying for you and will continue to do that.
