A little late to the posting (as usual), but we had a wonderful Christmas in 2010, spending it with both Kim's parents in Kiln, Mississippi (this post), and my family in Addis, LA (next post).
We actually took the Airstream with us on this trip -- our first real road trip with the camper. It's a 1968 Airstream Globetrotter, 19 feet long. Giuseppe the 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD towed pretty well.
We left the canyon in its full fall glory, with the leaves having just turned.
Steph and Josh and Jackson had already made it to Mississippi earlier in the day, having flown into New Orleans.
Not only did we bring the Airstream, but we also brought our pups, Tiger and Aggie :-)
Tiger and Aggie loved the river in Mississippi, and in particular, the big birds that always seem to be around.
We parked the RV on the side of Kim's parents house. Bob helped me with a handful of normal maintenance on the camper. In particular, we worked through a number of the appliances and facilities that I had never actually used in the vehicle. We only made one big mess :-)
Grandpa Bob loves reading to Jackson.
And Jackson liked his puppy blanket.
If you see Bob bellied up to the bar sometime, order him a Grand Marnier!
Steph gave Kim this pretty apron.
And Jackson is sure to be a rock star with an outfit like this.
We spent one night in New Orleans with Kim's friends, Rebecca and Corey.
Of course, we had an awesome meal at one of New Orleans' countless outstanding restaurants, and then headed over to my parent's place for the rest of the Christmas holiday.
