Day 3 - Father's Day, and some Louisiana Wildlife

I got to spend today, Father's Day, with both my Dad and his Dad. This is the first time I can remember doing that in a long, long time, and it was great. I love you, Dad!

We started the morning off by changing the oil in my Jeep. This quick-release drain plug is awesome by the way...

And we gave it a good wash, too.

And we had the rest of the Kirkland family over for an afternoon fish fry. Well done Dad catching the sac-au-lait last week, and well done Mom on the cooking!

After lunch, my Dad and I went fishing in the Atchafalaya Spillway. We caught a handful of small fish, but didn't keep any. Still, we had a great time. The water looked good, and while hot, the sky was clear.

One of the best parts about being back in Louisiana is the wildlife! I took all of these pictures today ...
