On our way into Boston we stopped in Maine to sample some lobsta'...wow...so good!
I felt a little more on my game in Boston because Dustin lived there for while as did my sister. So I enjoyed taking the “T” (the metro station) around to some of my favorite areas like Charles St., Newbury St. and Boylston St. for shopping. I also had a fantastic time at the Museum of Fine Arts. My favorite exhibits were the fashion photography, the Egyptian mummies, and the Buddist Temple room.
On Sunday evening, once we arrived, we took a walk through Boston Common, right up to the front steps of the Massachusetts State House.
After dinner at the Green Dragon, we found a much larger than life sculpture of one macaroni! Oh, yeah, this is what I'm talking about!!!Unfortunately the Red Sox were away so we didn't get to see a game, but on Dustin's Birthday we celebrated by having dinner at the “Cheers” bar and then went to see the movie Inception. Both were awesome! Happy Birthday, Dustin! I love you!
Guess what I had at Cheers... Yep!
We stayed at the Doubletree Bayside and Dustin took the T to the conference at the Renaissance waterfront everyday. He misses taking mass transit to work everyday it was a unique experience. One morning, we met up with a couple of his friends from Austin (that he sees more often far, far from home, actually). This is Mike and Cole.
We ventured out to Harvard Square for dinner one night. On Sunday night Dustin and I spent the evening wandering around the Boston Commons and the Historic District and had beer and oysters at the Green Dragon.
On the third day Dustin went on a night time cruise for work, which provided beautiful views of Boston from the water.
On our way out of town I got the chance to tour the home where Louisa May Alcott wrote Little Women. The home has been in the family since the Alcott's resided there and has been opened to the public as a museum for almost 100 years! It was really cool to see Beth's piano, "Amy's" drawings, and "Jo's" writing table!
And with that, we were done with Boston, and we headed out to the 'burbs to visit some friends. See ya!
- Kim :-)

Glad to read that y'all are having such a great time! Be safe!
