South Bend, IN, Notre Dame and the NCAA Football Hall of Fame

We left the Moser's in Plymouth, MI, and made a quick stop by Ann Arbor, MI to see The Big House, Michigan's football stadium. Impressive.

A few hours later, we were in South Bend, IN. I took a lunch break away from work to tour the NCAA Football Hall of Fame. It's a decent little museum, particularly in the narrative exhibits detailing the history of football. There's far less memorabilia than the other Halls we've been to recently, but still it was a fun stop.

Having subjected Kim to another sports Hall of Fame (her least favorite sport, at that), we saw to her needs at the South Bend Chocolate Company :-) Part cafe, part restaurant, part confectionery, with free WiFi, I worked the rest of my day from there.

After work was done, we drove through Notre Dame's beautiful campus, and also drove around Notre Dame's stadium.

Knute Rockne was Notre Dame's most famous, and most successful coach. What a record!

Yeah, yeah, they won a few championships.

A high-powered zoom got us just a sneak of the playing field. Rudy...Rudy...Rudy...

And this is "touchdown Jesus", oriented to face the end zone.

Always pulling for Notre Dame, always giving the touchdown signal :-)

That's about it for our afternoon in South Bend. We left South Bend on Thursday night, and made our way to Chicago, IL over the next hour or so.
