We left Vegas, driving over the Hoover Dam toward Arizona. Thursday was a regular work day for me, so I didn't have much time to stop and enjoy the Dam. But both Kim and I have toured the dam before, so we were happy just to park and take 10 minutes worth of pictures. Enjoy!
These are the water intake columns at the bottom of Lake Mead.
This is a new bridge, not yet open, spanning the canyon over the Colorado River. This didn't exist the last time we were here.
It's hard to get a decent shot of the dam itself, unless you're at the bottom. We didn't make it to the bottom, though, on this trip.
Once again, the beautiful blue water of Lake Mead.
These statues are quite moving, actually.
