Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park, WY

After West Thumb, we went found ourselves near Old Faithful and we stopped by for the show.

Old Faithful isn't the biggest or the best geyser in the park, but it is the most predictable -- eruption predictions are accurate to roughly 10 minutes resolution.

We hung around for about 40 minutes before Old Faithful did its thing -- a matinée performance around 5:00pm.

The eruption lasted almost 5 minutes, capping off plenty of anticipation, and to the delight of hundreds of people who gathered.

Geysers are pretty impressive, both in their height, and volume.

We took a video too, which we'll upload and add to this post when we latch onto some healthy upload bandwidth.
