Kim moved on from writing "hello, world", to taking input and printing custom output, and then wrote her own Byobu status script (a smiley face that winks at you every 5 seconds). She did all of this while we drove late into the night from Salt Lake City, UT into Pocatello, ID. We crashed a smelly, smokey Super 8 in Pocatello (we were in a non-smoking room on a smoking floor -- yuck).
I worked the morning from the hotel, and again we drove during lunch, this time to Idaho Falls, ID, where I planted roots at a Starbucks while Kim visited the Idaho State History Museum. She enjoyed a temporary exhibit detailing the evolution of dogs from wolves.
She also saw a "mountain man" that she think looks like me. (I'm now on the lookout for a buckskin tunic and a red belt.)
Kim also shipped off a set of crochet toys she's made per request to our new buddies, the Salisbury boys in Brookline, NH. These are so adorable, and this is totally indicative of how kind and thoughtful of a person Kimberly is :-) I love you, sweetheart.
After I finished my Thursday work, we left Idaho Falls for one of the most scenic drives of our trip so far...
Through acres of crops...
With mountains on the horizon...
And ospreys by the dozen.
We weaved along the Snake River for a bit...
And then up across a high mountain pass (back over the Continental Divide) and then sharply down into Jackson Hole, WY.

The boys absolutely love the crochet toys! The only time Philip puts down Mr. "Stay Puft" to go to school :-)
